Producer's Statement
On behalf of LightStream
Productions, we wish to welcome you to the Charlotte Paranormal
Investigators Convention. It is our hope that you will be
entertained and informed. We want you to have fun!!
 The past few years
Paranormal TV has become the norm on most every television network.
This phenomenon has grown in popularity with hundreds of websites
dedicated to this phenomenon. One thing you should
always remember, this is called entertainment!! Shows on
television are for the purpose of profit to a network, drawing income
from advertisers. They have script writers, producers and the
people in these shows are performers no matter how real you may think
it is!! They are on contract to the network and often required to
follow a script.
With this popularity,
Paranormal Groups/ Societies have popped up all over the country.
Again, it is our desire to help educate and inform. People, who
join these groups, join for many reasons. With that said, we
encourage these groups investigate and know who their members are!
You are going into people’s homes and businesses and must take
responsibility/liability for your member’s actions.
Throughout the centuries
we have wondered about the afterlife and many are attempting find
what really happens when we die. All religions make mention in
their teaching to afterlife and spirits both good and evil. It is
my personal opinion we should not be tempting these entities by
opening portals they we may not be aware of. That is the reason why
exorcisms have become so popular. I feel many are playing with
things they do not understand.
Know this is not
science. You do not see major universities in the field doing
research. There are those in the
field doing investigative work such as the Institute of Noetic
Sciences (IONS), Dr. Raymond Moody, Dr. Melvin Morse and companies such as Pro-Measure who are
attempting to take a scientific approach to those things we do not
understand. I commend them and their research.
It’s my belief that the
Paranormal Groups can play an important role in helping solve
problems for many families. The groups’ first job should always be
to debunk. Attempt to solve the problem. Often these groups
receive calls from people living in older homes or old office
buildings where the inhabitants have jittery feelings, headaches and
other symptoms. In some cases it is found that wiring is bundled,
causing high EMF fields resulting in these problems. These are
known causes for these symptoms. Then there are cases… that
paranormal events are proven. We seek a better understanding of
that which is around us!
We hope you will learn
from this conference and become more informed of that which is
around us.
